I went to this familiar spot on Black Point to photograph the western sky, but it turned out that the eastern sky held all the action. Shooting the rocks when they're front lit brings out so much detail, it's almost overwhelming. This image is made from 6 separate images manually blended to build depth in the tonal range and a panoramic picture without loss of detail through cropping.
Beautiful! Where is this, exactly?
Thank you! It's on the south shore of O'ahu, in Hawai'i, near Diamond Head.
Beautiful colours, I love it!
This is stunning!
Holy cow, this is amazing Great shot, it's very beautiful. I love the colours!
HDR panorama.... i wanted to do something like that many times but was always too lazy.
Did you HDR on this one?
There is a subtle amount of HDR toning to individual images, but the whole image is not HDR, thanks for looking!
I see... I'm trying to get HDR tones like these, not like the usual harsh/blurry stuff. I don't know if it's the app, the shots or me, who's doing something wrong with the technique. Have you ever tried Aperture?
Wow... this is for a DD, definitely!
Amazing sky - great colors
